Beginning at age 15 Nick's hospitality career has held nearly every restaurant position on every level. From casual dining busser and bartender to management and executive roles within the Auberge Resorts, Daniel Boulud's "Dinex" restaurants and Thomas Keller's "TKRG" group. Nick has also graduated from California State University as well as The Culinary Institute of America in New York
ALEXA HAZELTON
Alexa attended the Toledo School for the Arts before moving to New York to attend Sarah Lawrence University where she graduated with a bachelor of arts. Alexa has been involved in hospitality nearly her entire life.
From local bartender and breakfast server at a Toledo Diner to Operations Manager at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff as well as the Director of Restaurants for the Hotel Jerome in Aspen Colorado and
TOGETHER
Together the couple opened their first joint venture and flagship restaurant in 2015. Milestone Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in El Dorado Hills, Ca. has become a community staple and has helped to define the couple's mission: Develop our community through service and hospitality.
In 2020 they developed and launched Mom & Pop Chicken Shop; a casual quick service concept. Their second location of M&P opened in 2021 with a third slated for 2022.
Together with foothill partners they have also been developing a Central American concept "Carino" slated to open in Reno Nevada as part of the Reno Pulic Market.
Together they consult on a number of projects from restaurants to resorts and destinations. But they grow their group only as fast as good service, rich hospitality and overall quality will allow.

Nothing is possible in hospitality without the primary support from our communities. Whether or not the people that live in our area ever become guests of our hospitality it is our great hope that they feel it as a community at large.
From there our task is to assemble the best team of individuals who can not only represent our mission but can also lead our Projects as amazing people, group leaders and Team Managers. Our goal, albeit difficult, is to assimilate their personalities as much as we ask them to represent our standards.
We hope to develop the best leaders in and out of the hospitality industry with a fondness for the foundations and careers they began and allowed to thrive within Upstream Hospitality Management Group.
